DON'T MISS THE IABC NASHVILLE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT LUNCHEON - Wednesday, December10, 2008 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Stoney River in Nashville.

IABC President Julie Freeman, ABC & APR, visists the Nashville Chapter to talk about "Bridging the Generation Gap," a discussion of the four generations now in the workplace, what influenced them, how those influences affect their attitudes and behavior and the implications for communicators.

She has 25 years of experience in communication and nonprofit management and has helped organizations undergoing financial crises to recover and to rebuild their public image. Since becoming president of IABC in July 2001, Freeman has worked to improve the association's financial health and enhance the value of IABC membership.

During her term as president, IABC has eliminated its financial deficit ahead of schedule and launched several new programs, including the IABC Cafe2Go, the IABC Cafe2Go podcast, the IABC eXchange, teleseminars and web seminars, a job board for job seekers and employers, and an online communication planning tool for members (MyComm).

SUCCESS FOR THE 2008 IABC NASHVILLE GOLD PEN AWARDS
 
The 2008 Gold Pen Awards Walk of Fame was a great success on Tuesday night at the Cabana's in Nashville.
