  April 2010 Professional Development Luncheon

REBECCA CLIMER DISCUSSES HEALTHCARE MARKETING AT IABC NASHVILLE’S APRIL LUNCHEON

More than 70 area professionals attended the Nashville chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators’ monthly luncheon on April 14, 2010, at Outback Steakhouse on West End Circle. Rebecca Climer, chief communications officer for Saint Thomas Health Services, addressed the group regarding the challenges and opportunities of healthcare marketing in a competitive environment.

IABC Nashville members enjoy networking opportunities each month through professional development luncheons and more informal social "mixers" during the year. The chapter is diverse, with members representing area agencies, broadcast stations, corporations, universities, and nonprofit organizations. Monthly luncheons feature guest speakers offering professional development opportunities on the second Wednesday of each month.

IABC’s mission is to provide learning opportunities for its members. Professional development sessions provide members with new insights into the latest communication trends, technology, and issues facing the industry. IABC’s goal is to help our members achieve their own objectives, including strengthening their current duties and responsibilities, career advancement, exposure to new concepts and media, keeping up with the latest technology, or establishing a valuable network of professional contacts.
